Let’s face it, the people of Antwerp have great taste. Even if every street feels like a patchwork quilt, around every corner elements of architectural interest can be found. The Antwerp Art Weekend program is stacked with interesting exhibitions, but sometimes the buildings that house them merit equal attention. Included in this selection are spaces that, besides hosting excellent exhibitions, stand out for their architectural qualities.

This tour starts at M HKA (our central location) and passes Axel Vervoordt Gallery, de boer, DE SINGEL, KMSKA, Middeleheimmuseum, Newchild, TICK TACK, Tim Van Laere Gallery, and valerie_traan gallery.

In recent years, the boundaries between fashion, design, and the visual arts have become increasingly porous. It’s no shock that in a city like Antwerp — with its rich history in the fields of fashion and design — these different disciplines often converge, collide, and cross-pollinate. The exhibitions in this selection play with the codes of fashion and (graphic) design, showing just how much they are woven into the DNA of our city.

This tour starts at M HKA (our central location) and passes, AAIMACHINE, BOOOOOKS, Het Orakel / The Oracle Gallery at De Studio, LLS Paleis - Aan 't Water, MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp, Sint Lucas Antwerp, TICK TACK OFF-SITE, and Tique.

Contemporary art comments on the world around us, highlighting the precari- ous relationship we have to our material and ecological resources in all types of productions - including artistic production. Therefore, art increasingly challeng- es makers and viewers alike to reflect on how they relate to these materials; the exhibitions we selected here approach materiality through space, community, and the exploration of regeneration and reuse.

This tour starts at M HKA (our central location) and passes Axel Vervoordt Gallery, de boer, DEUSS Gallery, DMW Gallery, Kunsthal Exra City, LLS Paleis - Aan 't Water, OUT OF SIGHT, and PONTI.
