Dingen Die Niet Verkopen

Rune Tuerlinckx (°1999) lives and works in Antwerp. He studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Drawing from earlier experiences in circus and street theatre, he creates sculptural work that extends toward performance, installation, and design.

Since 2018 he has worked as a scenographer and set designer for film. From this practice, close collaborations have developed in which Tuerlinckx’s work has also taken on a more applied branch. Among these projects is a series of sculptures he developed together with a fashion designer, currently being presented internationally.

In 2021 he co-founded the shared studio FAAR with a group of alumni, which has since grown into a collective, studio cooperative, and presentation platform. In 2025 he also ran the temporary exhibition space Compost Space as part of a duo.

Rune Tuerlinckx now presents his first solo exhibition at Dingen Die Niet Verkopen. The exhibition is complemented by a program of performances and music.

Dingen Die Niet Verkopen is the artist initiative of Amber De Saeger, Alec De Bruyn, and Lodewijk Heylen, located in the center of Antwerp. The space positions itself as an experimental try-out venue for visual arts, performance, and music, responding ad hoc to urgent developments and needs within the arts landscape. It does so with sensitivity towards the fragility and potential of emerging or transforming artistic practices, and with a focus on content and process. Above all, Dingen is committed to presenting a wide range of disciplines both within and beyond the visual arts, and to fostering cross-pollination between makers and audiences.
