We will present Pélagie Gbaguidi’s work for the first time. She was born in 1965 in Dakar but she has been living and working in Brussels for many years. In her series 'Naked Writings’ she has investigated the archives of the Royal Museum for Central-Africa in Tervuren. The title 'Naked Writings’ refers to the importance of un-learning, of shedding prior beliefs and consequently decolonizing the mind.
The other artists on view in this exhibition are Kees Goudzwaard, Mark Manders, Philip Metten and Luc Tuymans.
